Hey everyone, after watching magic on YouTube for years and seeing how cool the 40k precons, I’ve finally decided on getting into magic myself (specifically commander). I’ve gotten the starter kit for my fiancé and I and used cheap sleeves I’ve found around the house for that, but I’ve also picked up two of the 40k precons as well.Unless they're willing to throw more reprint equity than they've ever thrown at any precon ever, I don't see these precons being able to meet the expectations the customers have. Yeah, that's unfortunate but expected - WotC put out a statement that from New Capenna and going forward, that there would be a price increase on MtG product because of "an uptick in the costs to produce, manufacture, and ship Magic around the world in the past year.". But, yes - the prices for the 40K and 2XM set packs, collector boosters and commander decks are damn near extortionate.
