I have all three, plus an older Remington 870. Personally, I would trust a new 870 with the way things are going at Remington. QC seems to have taken a nose-dive, bit time in the last several years. The Maverick is essentially an economy version of the Mossberg 500, with an 870 style safety. I have owned three over the years.
