Prusa's organic support are based on the new algorithm (by u/Thomas_Rahm), but they improve it a bit further by making the branches smoother and rounder for stability (which is what makes them "organic"). So Prusa 2.6 and Cura 5.4 will be based on the same algorithm with only minor differences for most usecases imo. RE: Change Density of Support material. For all support types, the Z distance is the key for me: .2mm to .22mm for PLA, .3mm for PETG, .25mm (I think) for ASA. For organic support I set 0 interface layers as Prusa recommends. I use 1.2mm line spacing. For flat overhangs I still like snug supports, 3 interface levels.

Organic is great when you have small features that need a bit of support, particularly as organic supports can reach over lower layers. I use it a lot for minis and similar. Snug is better for parts that need large support areas, I use it mostly on functional parts I can't make any other way. It's more an improved version of grid than anything ...
