I have been asking your question on these forums but no convincing answer. Some say DEX increases your rolling speed itself as well as the distance you roll.
Not "really". Since Pyromancer spells don't scale with a stat, there isn't really a "weapon" that can take advantage of said stat. Use whatever you like to swing around, Maybe something one-handed if you like to have your flame out instead of a shield for casting.
