I picked up a Springfield Armory M1a . The previous owner had a qualified gunsmith instal the EBR stock and an A.R.M.S #18. My concern is, the ARMS mount and the barrel top cover are not in line. The ARMS mount is higher by about 1/8 inch. Sage-International sells a Stripper Clip Sight Base 1913 picatinny rail insert that aligns to the top cover.

Whittle up a wood filler block to fill the hinge area where the flapper went. Those two changes could take off 1/2-3/4 pound.
