I found a fix: Whoever is crashing needs to go into the video settings and tick the box for slow HDD mode, even if you're on a SSD. For context I’m using vortex and I have about 40 cosmetic and utility mods installed and they all work together fine. Nothing seems to help. Have tried starting a new game and getting to the same stage, as well as reloading multiple times. My friend always ends up stuck on loading screens and eventually times out. This does not happen while still on the ship. Only in the area after the ship crashes.
