The upgrade they sent me is the CR1000a, and I've had a bunch or problems with connectivity. My main issue involves my media server, and file transfers over LAN/Ethernet. File transfers over LAN/ethernet from one Windows PC to another, used to transfer at speeds between 70 to 100 MB (MegaBytes) p/s.Verizon sent me a cr1000a wifi6 router that I was going to install but after reading reviews I'm hesitant because folks complaints about issues and speeds. Have you considered or read reviews on the cr1000a? I'm tempted to just keep using the g1100 and put the new router away til there is a possibility I might have to use it. The CR1000A is the latest Verizon router. They say it's free but my plan 300/300 with a free router is $10 more per month than I pay. The E3200 is still available and is compatible with the 1000A ... Easiest method is to just plug any other device or router directly into your ethernet feed that's going into the router now, like a PC/Laptop. Let it obtain a new IP. Then reboot your router and plug the ethernet feed back into the router. Verizon will "see" it as a new MAC address and sometimes you will get a new IP. CR1000A here with gigabit. A house not wired for Ethernet should be wired for Coax at least. E3200 cannot be backhauled to CR1000A wireless.
