I recently picked up a 2007 Rancher 420 that was having the typical ES shifting problem seen so often. The problem where it wouldn't even shift. I've gotten that sorted out by going through the wiring harness connections and cleaning them up and adding a little dielectric grease. I also changed the angle sensor just because it was cheap.I installed this on a 2000 big bear 400.works awesome,I have major foot neuropathy,so this is perfect,I can now shift again.
