Here is what cured it and I have not had any CarPlay connection problems in my JL or any car since. I usually keep my phone in my pocket, when not driving. Reset the radio system by turning off the jeep’s ignition, disconnecting the negative battery terminal, waiting for a few minutes, and then reconnecting the terminal. Finally, turn on the ignition and test the radio volume. In my '21 JT I use a BT dongle to replace the wire which of course adds an additional device into the mix. The '24 may be better, but don't expect too much.
