Many "local" items aren't local. I think there are now 2 restaurants in the port complex, one's a Senor Frog's (very over priced from mediocre stuff).The nearest beach is only a couple of km south of the cruise ship port, but you have to get there by road and that's about 3 to 4 km. There's a row of businesses (shops, restaurants, bars, etc.) on a "Malecon" that runs parallel to the beach.
