I would say I've tried nearly every single hunter build out there and the Assassin's Cowl arc build is easily my favorite and imo the best. Terrific ad clear. It clears ads so well in fact you can run double specials with zero problems.

I ran two special weapons majority of the time, shotgun and grenade launcher with Gjallarhorn. The shotgun dealt great damage against Tormentors while Lorely kept me alive. There's a lot of synergy with this build. For the Hunter I used void Invisibility build with Graviton Forfeit and Rat King.

Both are pretty offensive builds that can almost instantly trigger ignitions with the right setup. Haven't tried Caliban's recently, but with the new Firesprite fragments (specifically the one that gives Restoration on firesprite pickup) the YAS build has some decent survivability too.
