After shooting both…. There is not a huge difference between the two. I’m very happy that I went with the Springfield Prodigy… easily saved a couple thousand...

Part of my decision was - I had the money for the Staccato now. So it would be easier to buy the Staccato now, and then easier to come up with less $$ if I wanted to add a Prodigy later. Love the Staccato P. Have not had the desire to go back and add the prodigy. HOWEVER, I have added a Sig P229 Legion SAO since buying the Staccato P.

The Staccato is a 2011 (frame + grip module) while the Wilson is a 1911 (frame/grip frame + grip panels), but both double-stack 9mm handguns. The grip on the Staccato is noticeably larger, fatter than the EDC. The Staccato is super reliable, a flat shooter, and one of my more accurate shooters (along with the EDC).The problem with that is price, as an older STI 5.0 or a newer Staccato is going to set you back some serious coin — like $3K starting price. This is in large part because Staccato has limited production capabilities and no rush to expand.
