The derelict freighter is a new type. It doesn't look like our trusty flying garages, nor does it look like a crashed freighter (or the wrecked freighter in space, either). It's more like a big frigate (a cruiser type class, perhaps?). So don't expect things to be where you might imagine them to be. Your jetpack won't work on the derelict.
