Kimber went thru several changes with the finish on the frames of the Tacticals. They were initially a much lighter grey, then they went to almost an olive green color, then a darker grey (which I have, below), and the current ones I see are almost the same black as the slide; maybe a half-shade's difference.I find it very helpful to polish the chamber on 22 rimfires. I use Flitz on a barrel mop on a short cleaning rod attached to a hand drill. I also changed the hammer spring on my 1911 pistol frames. The factory hammer spring is 23 pounds. I have a rear sight pusher with an operating screw that has a 5/8 inch hex on it to push the sight out of the dove tail. The tool comes with a 4 inch 1/4 inch rod to stick through a whole in the hex head. Initial turning of the screw got ZERO movement.

If the bushing does come out with the screw, clean the bushings with the screws still in them, and the inside and outside of the screw/bushing holes. I use Gun Scrubber.
