Sword, for farming runes or mob clearing cos the AoW as HUGE range. The Hammer's AoW has great dmg assuming you have 5 seconds to spare to proc it. Hammer Ash of war is harder to read in PvP, but sword is much better for farming runes for easy levels at Mohgs Palace. Both so stellar damage in their own right.
