Go local. Look at online registries of therapists, choose maybe the top ten you think you might like based on their profile, then call each of them and have a 15-30m phone consultation. They should be free. Avoid anyone who won’t give you a free phone consult. From there, narrow it down with your partner.I’d go out on a limb and say that a session with a good therapist every 2-3 weeks or even once a month would be better than weekly with a not-so-good therapist.
