The infinity dealer offered to send it in for refurbishment for between $1100 and $1800 including labor to remove and reinstall.You can try several methods of cleaning the laser lens to see if it helps clear up the problem. The first is to purchase a CD/DVD laser lens cleaner disc, and run it through the system several times. It's likely that the drive won't spin, a common failure for CD drives. If the drive is a necessity for you, then I'd swap out the entire unit if you can.
